Since 2012, we have been taking independent travelers and groups on unforgettable adventures around the UK. The world has changed a lot since then, and we’ve evolved and adapted along the way. We are always mindful of updating and reviewing our safety measures, so our customers can travel with confidence. Keeping our customers and colleagues safe and well is always our top priority. We are always doing everything we can to put additional measures in place to make you feel safe and comfortable when you take your next trip with us!
For more details, a summary assessment of our approach to reducing the risk to our customers, colleagues and others affected by our operations can be viewed here: Risk Assessment Covid-19
You’ll find below a summary of safety measures we have put in place to give our customers peace of mind when travelling with us. We can’t wait to take you on a Daytripper Adventure soon!
The maximum capacity of all coaches will be limited to help with social distancing. Please let us know if you are booking with a person you share a household with as you will be able to sit together on the coach.
Hand sanitiser stations will be available on coaches for customer use as you board. If you can, bring your own hand sanitiser gel and wipes as well for use throughout the day trip.
Government guidance recommends wearing a face covering or mask when travelling on public transport. To minimise the spread of the virus, you will be required to wear a face mask or face covering when in coach stations and on board the coach.
Regular aerosol based disinfection with a high performance antiviral solution, sometimes called ‘fogging’ will be in place. Key touch points including handrails, armrests, seat belts and toilets will be cleaned regularly using a high performance antiviral cleaning solution.
Most coaches have toilets on board and we ask that you use the wipes provided to clean any surfaces you may have touched and dispose in the bins provided. Please wash your hands thoroughly after use and use hand sanitiser.
If you have any concerns during your journey please use our text or WhatsApp communication on the day. Details will be given on board our coaches and during the trip.
Please follow floor markings, signage and announcements from our guides to maintain social distancing during the trip. Please respect a minimum of a 1 metre distance between others whenever possible.
Prior to boarding the coach, a Daytripper guide may take your temperature using a contactless infrared thermometer. You may be refused travel if you provide a temperature reading of 38C or higher but don't worry, you will be able to defer your ticket for a future trip within 6 months of your booking. See our Terms and Conditions for more details.
We have updated our cancellation policy so that if you are feeling unwell with Covid-19 symptoms up to 24 hours before the trip and cannot travel, you can defer the trip for up to 6 months. This must be pre-agreed and arranged by email. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have updated our 'what to wear', 'what to bring' on our website and on your itinerary so you can be as well prepared as we are for a brilliant day out.
All our staff are fully trained to maintain our new safety measures. As well as looking after you, our guides will make sure you have a fantastic experience on our day trips. We can't wait to take you on a Daytripper adventure!
Organised events and activities are advised by the Government to go ahead if they are Covid-Secure, as we are. On our guided walks we will have a minimum of 2 guides and will split the group into 2 to aid social distancing. Within the tour group as a whole, guests will be advised to keep within a maximum of 6-person bubble.
We are Daytripper. Creating a trip experience, measured not by distance but by friendships, memories and adventures.
